“Chief Daddy 2: Going For Broke” will be on Netflix This New Year!
Following the green light from Netflix on the sequel for Chief Daddy back in June 2020, EbonylifeTv embarked on production in May 2021, with Niyi Akinmolayan as the director. The much anticipated “Cheif Daddy: Going For Broke” is set to make its debut on the 1st of January, 2022, on Netflix.
The family comedy follows the dysfunctional Beecroft family as they try to navigate life post the shocking demise of their patriarch. Although there are no specific details on the plot for the sequel, there are speculations that it focuses on what becomes of the Beecrofts, after their knowledge of the will.
With production wrapped six months ago, Producer and CEO of EbonylifeTv takes to her Instagram page to share; “Come January 1st 2022, the Beecrofts are returning with more family drama, more secrets, more laughs and even more fun and entertainment.”
Just like in the first part, the sequel stars a number of Nollywood faves like Funke Akindele-Bello, Shaffy Bello, Kate Henshaw, Joke Silva, Rachael Oniga, Ini Edo, Patience Ozokwo, Nkem Owoh, Beverly Osu, Beverly Naya, Falz, Linda Ejiofor-Suleiman, Broda Shaggi, Zainab Balogun, Chigul, Mawuli Gavor, Dakore Egbuson-Akande, Rahama Sadau and Nedu Wazobia.
Chief Daddy 2: Going for Broke was shot in Lagos and the United Arab Emirates by John Demps.
