Herconomy is Nigeria’s biggest community that provides information for women to thrive, preserving funds, and receive benefits.
Herconomy has been elevating and encouraging women since its debut in 2019.
The Each Woman Bring One Campaign was championed by the woman-focused movement last year. The campaign was a movement that began on World Savings Day, October 20, 2022. Herconomy aimed to shift the storyline with a campaign that ignited development after discovering that just 35% of women in Nigeria had registered bank accounts.
Herconomy collaborated with Anita Adetoye, Delphinator, Daala Oruwari, and Phoenix Blvck throughout the campaign to inspire women to not just save but also be economically secure. Anita is convinced that ‘’Herconomy is a bank for women in Africa and personally it is time for women in Africa to gain their financial freedom.’’
In 2023, Herconomy will take even more daring steps by recognizing and empowering women through the Way She Does It project. How She Does It is a Herconomy documentary series that highlights exceptional women in many fields. The docuseries includes episodes on Atinuke Stanley-Pepple, Imabong Akpan, Mary Edoro, Chidinma Uzoma, and Giwa Oluwafunke Ajose, among others.
These women are making an invaluable impact and achieving great accomplishments in their respective fields. Despite countless challenges and prejudices, they persist in smashing down walls, pushing borders, and disrupting the conventional quo. Herconomy hopes that this docuseries would encourage individuals who are unable to take the leap and pursue their aspirations because they haven’t seen any tangible reflection of their ambitions or realities.
Herconomy, a woman-centered community, prioritizes women by focusing attention on how women are making important advancements in several sectors.
Ms. Ife Durosinmi-Etti reckons “These stories are set to encourage other women to be confident and showcase what they can bring to the table” as per the How She Does It series.
Herconomy has incredible plans for 2023, and we absolutely can not wait to witness them all come to fruition.
