The Angle You Don’t Know was released on 12 November 2020 containing 14 beautiful records including “Fancy”, “Trust Fund Baby”, “Jumping Ship” and the 2021 hit courtesy TitkTok and its remix with Kali Uchis, “Sad Girlz Luv Money”. It features CKay, Kojey Radical, Moliy, Maesu, Princess Adjua, Odunsi (The Engine), Cruel Santino, KZdidit, Kyu Steed & 6.
The recent surge in streams of The Angel You Don’t Know might be due to the crossover “Sad Girlz Luv Money” track, the penultimate track on the LP but regardless, the album takes listeners on a sonical journey of well produced and engineered records spurning various favourites among fans and easily retaining its replay values over the course of time.
Amaarae’s The Angel You Don’t Know beats KiDi’s “The Golden Boy” which was previously the No. 1 most streamed album by a Ghanaian act with 37.7 million streams on Spotify as at February 10, 2021, King Promise’s “As Promised” comes third with 37.2 million streams (as at Feb. 10).
