Ruger breaks his collaboration deadlock with DJ Neptune’s ‘Bienvenue’

DJ Neptune and Ruger start off February with the beautiful tune, ‘Bienvenue’.

DJ Neptune & Ruger - Bienvenue

emPawa Africa signed disc jockey, DJ Neptune, enlists Jonzing World act, Ruger, for the soulful Amapiano-infused tune, ‘Bienvenue’.

Ruger finally jumps on a track with another act not signed to his record label, and it sounds just perfect that it had to be on a song with the “Greatness” catch-phraser DJ Neptune.

Bienvenue originates from France; it simply means ‘welcome’. In the song, Ruger appeals to his female companion to bust it down on the dancefloor for he is willing to satisfy her material cravings.

Ruger is mesmerized by the physique of this female companion of his. He sings “I’ve never seen a girl like you / Swear down down” in the chorus. He beckons that she whines on him too, “See, gyal move to the centre / Gyal make you wine selecta”.

This female companion of Ruger must have studied the majestic art of contorting her body to please whoever she is with on the dancefloor. Ruger gains maximum satisfaction from her impressive skills and starts making worldly promises.

First off, the ‘Asiwaju’ singer admits, “Nobody else fit ever near your standard / Admire the way you adapt to the atmosphere”, then goes on to state elaborate promises as if under a trance, “Make I carry you go penthouse / And if you whine me your life go better”, adding “I be your landlord o / Gyal I go give you a room for my quarters” in the post-chorus.

After the dance session, Ruger appears to have expressed his pleasure, and the reply he got led to the song’s title. “She ah say Bienvenue / You’re welcome”, Ruger says.

The rhyme schemes, the pocket Ruger fills, the Dancehall cum Amapiano production, the melodic tune of Ruger’s voice, the picture-esque lyricism, and DJ Neptune’s intro and outro make Bienvenue an enjoyable song.
