For what it is worth, Brymo is known to cause a ruckus on social media for reasons best known to him. A few months back, Brymo name-dropped Burna and accused him of theft. Not only that, he also claimed the City Boys singer is unoriginal with his art forms. Now, Burna Boy has punched back with heavy blows at the Ara singer.
The Origin of the Feud
In his ‘Burna Boy versus song theft’ case, Brymo went on Instagram to make a post regarding how Burna sampled an unreleased song by him. He even claimed Odogwu deserved to be locked up for stealing his intellectual property. This is just one of the blows Brymo has thrown at Burna Boy.
The second one which happens to be the most popular on social media has Brymo calling Burna Boy “sleazy, cheap, very unoriginal, and very fake.” Why? In Brymo’s words: “Every one of his songs is a sample or a stolen slogan.”
The Burna Diss
Burna Boy, on his part, appears to be fed up with Brymo’s agendas. Lyric excerpts from Last Last reads “I no go fit take your insult, o / Omo mind as you dey talk, o, I put my life into my job,” and Burna stands on business.
In a trending video on socials, Burna can be seen rehearsing with his band, freestyling to the final track on his new album—I Told Them. In the video, Burna sings “Gbe fun one time / Anybody wey dey look me one kind / . . . / Hustle make you no go fall off like Brymo.” While still in the Brymo case, Burna also advised him to stop smoking the wrong strain. “If e no good for you, no dey smoke,” Burna Boy jabs at Brymo.
In that freestyle video, Burna Boy reinstates his champion status while alluding to Brymo being unstable mentally.
Brymo’s Rebuttal
After watching the one-minute thirty-six seconds video, Brymo came back in classic fashion—a social media reply. Burna is a “foolish boy” with “talentless lyrics,” he replies.
Since this, Brymo has gone on his usual stream of get-backs and diss at Burna Boy via X posts.
