Fresh off hosting his first headline crusade-themed concert—Breaking The Yoke Of Love—on Valentine’s Eve (Feb. 13), a shutdown event thanks to his innovative promotion tactics and the brilliant 2021 “Sex Over Love” album, Blaqbonez is ready to have the new year, 2022, at a chokehold, releasing his first single of the year, Commander.
When he previewed the fire jam a few weeks back, fans immediately fell in love with the newly improved vocals of the rapper-singer, ushering in a different more fine-tuned sound in comparion to his previous songs. “I see one girl for the corner wey dey light up igbo / I move to her like a star, you know how the tin go“, Blaqbonez played on the snippet in a short video on his socials before allowing the banging Afrobeat-produced Type A do much of the talking for his newly released Commander single.

Commander is a boastful song which has Blaqbonez singing about his bedroom victorious conquests with different ladies. This is affirmed by Raybekah’s background addition vocals, singing “Smack me daddy, smack me daddy” as the song fades.
LIsten to Blaqbonez’s latest single, Commander, which is to be featured on his forthcoming album, “Young Preacher”.:
