The Chinese Hubei health authority announced that 94 more people died today from coronavirus in the province of Hubei, bringing the death toll in the epicenter to 1.068 since the outbreak started. 2,478 new coronavirus cases were identified in mainland China on Monday, bringing the total number of infections there to 42,638. Worldwide, 43,090 people were infected as of Tuesday morning. 108 people died from the virus in mainland China Monday. Two people have died outside mainland China, in Hong Kong and the Philippines. Nearly 4,000 infected patients in mainland China have been cured and discharged from hospital, officials said. Hubei authorities today confirmed an additional 1,638 cases of the virus, bringing the total number of epidemic cases to 33,366 at the epicenter.
