‘March 10th is too far’ – fans plead with Pheelz to drop the unreleased “Finesse” smash-hit single featuring BNXN

Never in a lifetime would one have thought the phrases ‐‐ “unreleased” and “smash-hit single” ‐‐ would be placed side by side-by-side in a complete meaningful sentence but in the case of “Finesse”, which snippet is currently ravaging the internet especially TikTok and Instagram Reels, it definitely fits.

The Pheelz’s vibrant “Ah finesse / If I broke na my business / A ma shano, e go bright o / Folake for the night” verse has taken over the internet like a storm and fans and music lovers alike cannot get it out of their head, resulting in various memes and short videos interpretations. The snippet video for “Finesse” was first uploaded on February 6, which showed Pheelz in the studio freestyle recording his verse on the instrumental but the one which eventually had a chokehold on the internet had Buju making an appearance in it, with both artistes vibing to the song, it was uploaded on Feb. 6 with the caption: “Nahh, BUJU ate. @Bujutoyourears #FINESSE #Mission2022 (sic).”

Pheelz has revealed March 10th to be the release date of the collab single but fans plead with him to bring it back as much as he can, believing since the song’s already become so good and being received positively, it would only benefit him if he puts “Finesse” out as soon as possible both financially and as a brand. They also argue that the song might get overshadowed by other ‘big name releases’ when it eventually sees the light of day, others say the later the delay, the more people who don’t know Pheelz might loose interest in his brand (because currently most people think the “Folake for the night” lyric was sung by BNXN); a few also bring the music business aspect, explaining that the Shazam effect which should have taken the song if it were released to the top of the charts is also missing as it would have garnered millions of streams across DSPs by now.
