“I will Always be Aquaman ” Jason Momoa Assures Fans

Rumors have been swirling around social media for a while now that Aquaman star Jason Momoa might be swapping out the throne for biker gear by taking up the role of Lobo the bounty hunter. This would apparently be in line with the plans that DC Studio heads James Gunn and Peter Safran have for the DC universe.

However, Momoa has debunked these rumors following a meeting with the co-heads over his future in the DC Universe. Speaking of the meeting, he said, “It’s very, very wonderful.” “I’m in the house of Warner Bros., and they are liking a lot of stuff I’m doing.” “We’ve got a lot of good things coming.”

While speaking at the Sundance Film Festival, Momoa also expressed appreciation for DC head James Gunn: “I love James Gunn, and so there’s going to be some really cool things with what they’re doing with DC, and I definitely will be in more than just one.”

On his upcoming film, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, which is currently slated for a December 25 release date, he had this to say: “The beautiful thing about it is that me and my partner wrote the first treatment for it, and it was about a 55-page treatment, and a lot of it has to do with me talking to the U.N. about what’s happening with the melting ice caps,” Momoa said. “There’s no far-off galaxy coming to destroy us or aliens from another place.” It’s us ruining our planet. “We need to get it together and save our home.”

Momoa, however, insinuated that there might be some truth in the rumors stating that he might play other DC characters in the future. “I’ll always be Aquaman.” Nobody’s going in there and taking shit. There might be some other characters, too. I can play other things, too: “I can be funny, savage, and charming.”
