Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 returns on August 31 with Shibuya incident arc
Part B of Jujutsu Kaisen’s second season is almost here! Following the conclusion of its first half, which focused on the inventory/premature death arc, the show went on a three-week hiatus. Which is concluding next week and upon its return, it will begin the Shibuya incident arc, and Toho has given fans a sneak peek at what’s to come.
Ahead of the premier of Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 part B. Toho has released a new key visual and trailer for the second half of season two. Both of which tease the upcoming conflict between Gojo and Geto. Toho also unveiled new character designs for Choso, Geto, and Mahito for the arc.
The Shibuya arc is a continuation of Jujutsu Kaisen 0, which aired over a year ago. It follows Gojo and his students as they attempt to stop Geto from destroying jujutsu society in Shibuya by Halloween. However, this task will prove difficult as Geto has gotten more powerful following their confrontation in Jujutsu Kaisen 0. In addition, they also have to ensure Sukuna does not escape from Yuji during the conflict.
Although the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death arc was only five episodes long. The Shibuya arc will consist of 18 episodes, the first of which will debut on August 31. King Gnu will perform the new opening theme called “Specialz,” for the forthcoming arc.
The synopsis for the Shibuya Act is as follows: October 31st arrives, and Suguru Geto’s plan is in motion. A curtain is cast to trap civilians in Shibuya, with many of them begging for one man, Satoru Gojo! Multiple squads of sorcerers are dispatched to the scene. What mysteries lie within the Shibuya Curtain…?”
