Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho might return to Borussia Dortmund on loan this month.
Erik ten Hag, the manager, mentioned that Sancho’s omission from September’s defeat at Arsenal was related to his performance in training and requested an apology for a social media post. However, Sancho refused to apologize, claiming he was being used as a scapegoat.
Since then, the 23-year-old England winger has been training away from the first squad, and there seems to be no end in sight to his exile.
United signed Sancho for £73 million from Dortmund in July 2021. It is believed that the Bundesliga club is hopeful to reach an arrangement with Sancho for the duration of the season and is prepared to provide him with a path back during the January transfer window.
Given the massive pay boost Sancho received upon joining the Red Devils, any deal may require United to cover a sizable amount of his salary.
