AGS Tribe, an organisation primarily centred around fostering and enabling women for success has partnered with e-commerce giant Amazon with the aim of hiring highly qualified talents in strategic positions at Amazon in order to aid economic growth, also deepening the diversity and inclusion efforts at the firm.
The partnership was made public knowledge via a virtual meeting between representatives from AGS Tribe and Amazon. At least a hundred (100) persons attended the virtual meeting which solidified the purpose of partnership between the two organisations, that is, AGS Tribe will be hiring partners with Amazon Engineering Services in recruiting talents from Nigeria and Africa (by large) for various positions including Mangers, Program and Project Managers, Business Analysts, Recruiters and Interns.
The Diversity and Equity Subgroup Pipeline Lead from Amazon in his statement during the reveal highlighted some more positions up for hiring and why AGS Tribe was chosen, he says: “I personally reached out to AGS Tribe a few months ago because I saw what they were doing in terms of diversity and empowerment, and it aligned with what the Engineering services team in Amazon is doing. My role specifically is to fill the recruitment pipeline with diverse candidates so that we can have a wider talent pool when we recruit into Amazon. We are really excited to be partnering with AGS Tribe on this, and we are hoping to get a lot of quality candidates to fill the recruitment pipeline for engineering services; procurement, finance, category managers, etc.”

The app—AGS Tribe—provides a Pan-African network for female professionals and entrepreneurs, created to further inspire, connect and build the capacity of young entrepreneurs and professionals. The AGS Tribe app was launched in December 2020. The platform has impacted the lives of over 80,000 women through capacity building, mentorship and funding.
