Prime Video is scheduled to expand its already diversified African production portfolio with the March 1, 2025, premiere of a new Nollywood reality travel series titled ‘Ebuka Turns Up Africa’.
According to the streaming service, ‘Ebuka Turns Up Africa’ is a four part series which follows acclaimed Nigerian TV host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and friends as they take viewers on a thrilling journey across Africa. While also showcasing the excellence and uniqueness of the African entertainment industry.
Several Nollywood stars will accompany Ebuka on his voyage across the African continent. These stars include Timini Egbuson, Jimmie Akinsola, Zubby Michael, Alistair Englebert Preston, and Onoja Adole.
Prime Video, in a statement, described the series as follows: “The group embarks on an unforgettable VIP adventure across Africa for a compelling series that not only transcends borders but reveals the men behind their celebrity personas.” “As the all-star cast ignites their spirit of exploration, personalities clash and tempers flare in a journey across the continent that isn’t always smooth sailing.”
Rapid Blue Productions is credited with producing the Prime Video original series. While Ziyanda Ngcaba and Erika Klopper serve as executive producers on the project. Furthermore, the first two episodes of ‘Ebuka Turns Up Africa’ will be released on prime video on March 1. With the second two debuting a week later on March 8
