Although she is no avatar, she does describe herself as a bender but a genre bender unlike the fictional master of all elements. Wavy The Creator has come a long way from her passionate love for fashion designing to being an outstanding vocalist on the Nigerian alté scene. She debuts her 7-track EP—P.S. Thank You For Waiting.
Going mellow on furistic pop instrumentals, Wavy The Creator navigates her softcore voice through the alternative genre of Pop and R&B, singing about love with the help of fellow Nigerian stars—Tay Iwar, WurlD, Ckay, Efya and her cohorts, the Genre Benders.
This EP gives off 90s vibe and a little bit of late night karaoke with friends, hanging and just enjoying the cool night mood with enough tequila shots to go round thanks to the guitar, keyboard and light-beat of the drum, making for a masterful use of electronic production throughout P.S. Thank You For Waiting.
Just like the featured artistes, a plethora of producers worked on P.S. Thank You For Waiting including Kuvie (“Harmonies”, “Stella Riddim” & “Time”), Lmbskn (“F*ck Luv), Quesi (“Harmonies”) amongst others but it is Wavy’s resilience to stick to an unpopular furistic pop sound rhythm that stands out the most. Her songwriting and lyricism obviously did not go unnoticed.
