The popular YouTube series Skinny Girl in Transit (SGIT) is set to return for its seventh season this January. Ndani TV, the production studio behind the series, disclosed this news on its Instagram page. Stating that the show’s seventh season will premiere on January 26, 2024.
Further, the new season will be available on Ndani TV’s YouTube channel. Skinny Girl in Transit has grown to be a beloved web series over the years. Thus, the show’s return following a three-year hiatus will undoubtedly make its legion of fans excited.
Bunmi Ajakaiye serves as the web series director, and it was created by Temi Balogun. While Lani Aisida and Ifeanyi Barbara Chidi are writers for the show, along with Abdul Tijani Ahmed, who writes and produces.
Over the course of six seasons, the series tells the story of Tiwa (Abimbola Craig). A young woman in Lagos, who is willing to do whatever it takes, to lose weight. However, it also explores her journey of self-discovery, career and relationships.
Season seven is set to focus on Tiwa and her husband Mide (Ayoola Ayolola) as they attempt to fix their relationship while caring for a newborn baby. It stars returning cast members Sharon Ooja, Ngozi Nwosu, Timini Egbuson, Bisola Aiyeola, Ayo Adesanya, and Woli Arole. As well as newcomers Diana Russet, Kunle Remi, and Tony Umez.
