AFCON Cameroon 2021: Date of competition Reveale
The date of the African Cup of Nations has now been revealed . According to Afrikafoot.fr, the competition will take place in Cameroon from Friday January 15th to Sunday 14th February 2021.
The qualified teams for the competition are expected to be known by November 9th, 2020 when the qualifiers will be over.
Afrikafoot.fr equally revealed that it has verified information that the competition will take place in Cameroon from January to February 2021 and it will be announced in the days ahead by the Confederation of African Football, CAF.
The 33rd edition of the Competition will therefore return to a period traditional known for being the Competitions period but for the 2019 edition that took place in the summer.
In one of the recent outings of the current CAF president Ahmad Ahmad,he declared that CAF is considering a shift of the Competitions date from June to January due to climatic reasons.
The recent reports agrees with the declarations from the CAF boss.
Cameroon will therefore host the Competition in January, a period with relatively less occurrence of rainfall.
CAF is yet to make an official statement about the tournament’s kick off and closing dates.
