Multicoloured hair singer and rapper, PrettyboyDO, known for using his voice in a unique passive aggressive form yet not to the point irritating listeners but rather to their delight, releases his second album, Love is War, a 14-track project where lays his frustration about the Nigerian government and the conditions of living in the country, continually boasts of being the best musically, shows his diversity by switching flows from cool boy singing to agitated rapper to midtempo and so on, doing so with his very impressive and always amazing to hear vocal dexterity. Top acts like UK Pa Salieu, on Love is War; fellow fast-rising acts in Nissi, Mojo and IAMDDB also feature on the project.
PrettyboyDO describes Love is War as his “best work yet”, he writes “On Oct.15th, the world will hear my best work. The word proud won’t do this justice. I’ve made sure I’ve not spoken on this so the work will talk for itself.” on his official Twitter page while describing his genre of music as “Afro-punk” in a recent interview with Dazed. From Afrobeat to Drill to Pop to mild R&B, to Hip-Hop/Rap, PrettyboyDO made sure to put his versatility on full display, easily avoiding the pit of being pigeonholed to one style or genre. He released “Police N Teef” (the bonus track), “Living in Bondage” (6th track) and “Falling” (track No. 2) as promotional singles for Love is War.
