‘Venom 3’ Resumes Production, Tom Hardy Reveals

Tom Hardy has revealed that production has restarted on “Venom 3.”

The star made this revelation on Friday with an Instagram post in which he captioned, “Thankfully, we are back to shooting, and I want to take a moment just to thank all the teams thus far on the ride from V1 to here, all our fantastic cast and crew—good friends and family—we’ve come a long way.”

Hardy’s post comes after SAG-AFTRA ended the 118-day actors’ strike on November 8. Furthermore, because “Venom 3’s” production was halted for a few months due to the strike. Sony Pictures has now pushed back its release date from July 12, 2024, to November 8, 2024. Reason being that the project wouldn’t have been able to make its original summer release date.

Hardy also thanked Kelly Marcel, who wrote the first two films and is directing “Venom 3,” in his post. The actor wrote, “I want to mention very briefly how proud I am of my director, writing partner, and dear friend Kelly Marcel. Watching you take the helm on this one fills me with pride; it is an honor. Trust your gut; your instincts are always spot on. First class, I back you.”

Here’s to a great ride!” Hardy concluded.

Aside from Tom Hardy’s return as Eddie Brock and his parasite Venom, not much is known about plotline of Venom 3. This is because Sony Pictures has yet to reveal the plot of the third installment. However, Juno Temple (Ted Lasso) and Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave) have joined the cast in unspecified roles.
