Skiibii’s second EP in less than a year sees a more mainstream-minded singer as opposed to the introspection of his debut EP (“God is Bigger Than Man”); on Skiibii’s sophomore EP, Life of a King (Aiye Oba), he is of the state of mind that revolves round acquiring monetary and financial gains as he also seeks pleasures in the many women that either accompany him or he is surrounded by.

Skiibii, born Abbey Toyyib Elias, off the bat serves listeners with Bobo wherein he preaches the flamboyant lifestyle he is soaked in, calling on the woman after his heart to come get a taste of that lifestyle too and stop hesitating to being loved by him, “Look back and na me call you / Come close, make I comfort you / Check phone, I don inbox you (yeah-yeah) / CashApp, make I load you (ahn-ahn) / Sweet life no go injure you / Slow down, malo gbe ishan ju (malo gbe ishan ju) / Clear eye, make you see road / Money long, be like network oh (money long, be like network oh)”, he sings.

The flamboyant life of luxury theme is maintained by Skiibii on the next two tracks of the EP. The second song, Pawon, speaks on how Skiibii intends to ‘oppress’ onlookers with the privileged lifestyle he portrays while Flex is an ode to the soft life (a colloquial term for a life of privilege where wealth and affluence is the order of the day). “Problem no fit my body o / Wahala no fit my body o / Kasala no fit my body o (Oh no)”, he opens the song with the intentions of enjoying life to the fullest, “I just want to flex / Make I no wan dey stress / At this, I’ve been blessed / Omo ope dey dress”, he continues the soft life affirmation with soulful vim.

The final track on Life of a King (Aiye Oba) EP is Kelele, in which Skiibii digress from boasting with the main focus being on a particular lady who obsessively desires to be indoctrinated into Skiibii’s world. He sings of not being bothered by her fiend-ish attitude so far he keeps receiving sexual pleasures from her.

The EP features four (4) tracks with no features as the motive behind the project is for Skiibii to solidify himself as a certified hitmaker in the Nigerian music scene. Niphkeys (tracks 1 and 3), FancyBeats (track 3), Runcheck and Freshy (track 4) all worked with Skiibii in making this body of work.
