The fans of HBO’s psychedelic series, ‘Euphoria’ have taken to different social media platforms to express their thoughts on the show’s return date for the third season. Season 1 made its debut in June 2019 and upon its return for the long awaited season 2, the fans responded with euphoria. It can only be speculated that the fans will stay on their toes till 2024, as there are questions the show is yet to give answers to.
The hit drama created by Sam Levinson was reviewed to have a record of 14 million viewers for the season 2 across streaming platforms HBO and HBO Max, thereby doubling the average audience of 6.6 million recorded for its debut season.
The EVP of Programming at HBO, Francesca Orsi shares, “Sam, Zendaya, and the entire cast and crew of Euphoria have taken Season 2 to extraordinary heights, challenging narrative convention and form, while maintaining its heart. We couldn’t be more honored to work with this gifted, wildly talented team or more excited to continue our journey with them into Season 3.”
Some of the predictable cast members reprising their roles are, Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Alexa Demie, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, Maude Apatow, Storm Reid, and Barbie Ferreira.
According to Maude Apatow who plays Lexi on the series, there could be a furtherance of the blossoming friendship (and maybe romance) between Fez and Lexi in season 3. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, expresses her interest in seeing the “innocent and sweet” relationship explored further next season.
“I think Angus is such a great actor, and we just have so much fun working together,” She went further. “So for selfish reasons, I hope we get to do more scenes together because it’s fun.”
Although there are no other information given, it has been made certain that Season 3 will premier in 2024.
