Peruzzi marks his return to releasing new music with Pressure featuring YBNL’s Fireboy DML. Although the instrumental’s not a fully fleshed Amapiano beat, 3 Heads (the producers’ trio) take a cue from the genre by planting its log drums all over the 3:06 minutes track.
In Pressure, Peruzzi seems to have found love, and he is ready to go above and beyond to please his lover. “I’m so in love (Oh oh oh oh) / Head over heels (Head over heels) / I no fit chill (I no fit chill) / I no go fit stop (Oh no),” he proclaims. To emphasise the extent of his love, Peruzzi repeats those lines about two times. Peruzzi keeps his lyrics minimalist but covers the ground with ad-libs and crowd vocals.
As for Fireboy, he keeps his verse short but hits the nail on the head. Fireboy’s verse unashamedly portrays the singer as a hopeless romantic. He is ready to immerse himself into the relationship if only his love interest accepts his advances. “Girl there’s no two ways about it / Normally you go be mine / . . . / If you just open your mind / . . . / Been waiting at your door / Would you open up for me?” DML sings wholeheartedly.
The song goes 360, closing as it started with the abrasive toned crowd vocalised chorus. “Pressure, ehn / . . . / I wan tension you oh jare / . . . / For you I dey gidigba / Ten toes / . . . / Oh no no no no,” we hear till Pressure fades out.
