It’s Summertime, ladies are getting in their skimpy outfits, getting ready to let loose and have fun all through. Patoranking and Popcaan are aware of that, thus, they have cooked up a sweet delicacy for Summer parties. The title? “Tonight.”
Straight off the bat, Patoranking sounds off on his hardworking nature but of more importance tonight is him having many ladies keep in company, providing the entertainment he needs to relax. He sings: “I work so hard / You know I don’t want no stress / . . . / Call the girl with the lovely dress (Ye-e-eah) / . . . / This yah one is a drinking fest.”
Popcaan takes the stage after a gyrating hook by Pato’. He stays on topic, touching on high-end lifestyle, Popcaan boasts about getting any girl he desires. “Yeah, girl them twerking / Pull up with a Lambo swerving / SLG, Unruly (Weh, uhh),” he sings, before going on to shower adulation on a particular pretty one. The Unruly boss serenades, “And the sunshine nice ‘pon your flat tummy / To how your face pretty like Europe money,”
Patoranking makes his mission clear in the hook: “Too many gyal them tonight / So we a go mhm-mhm tonight / Many, many gyal them tonight (Woii).” Pato’ is aware of his unusual willingness to over-exert himself in sexual desires Tonight but wards off any claim of Black Magic in the post-chorus. Emphatically he repeats: “Kayanmata no work again (Weh) / You know what I mean / I say kayanmata no work again / You know what I mean (Aye).”
