Peaky Blinders fans are in for a treat as Netflix intends to expand the Peaky Blinders universe with two spinoff shows. According to a recent article by Bloomberg, Netflix plans to create franchises from its most popular shows, such as Peaky Blinders, Addams Family, and Extraction.
The report states that one spin-off show will be set in 1920s Boston, decades after the events of the original show. While the second will explore the backstory of the Shelby family matriarch, Aunt Polly, played by the late Helen McCrory,
Further, while connected to the original Peaky Blinders, both shows would have no impact on its conclusion. However, this news still remains speculation, as the streaming giant has yet to announce either show.
In more news, Cillian Murphy, the star of the original show, previously, spoke about its success and the possibility of a movie adaptation by creator Steven Knight. Cillian said:
“It just grew because people told other people to watch it. I’m really proud that it has never plateaued and that each series has become richer and stronger than the last.” Adding that there’s no development regarding the movie. “I would love to do a movie if there’s more story to tell. I’ll wait and see, but I have no update for you on that.”
