Mohammed Animashaun, known by stage name – Moelogo – completes the series, a trilogy of personal pronouns themed EP, which started with “Myself” then to “Me” and now the final lap—“Itheep”—sees light of day.
Although Moelogo is the main star on Itheep, he assembles a host of others stars like Krishane, Adekunle Gold, Reekado Banks, The Cavemen. and so on in what he calls “The Avengers” (shown by superhero characterised artwork) which they did by bringing their combat skills in attacking this new music project and that they did to the fullest, mixing predominantly Afrobeat with other genres of music like Pop, creating a mid-tempo sonic EP.
Itheep is preluded (kind of) through the no-string attached single “One Time” which sails the idea of hook-ups without need for attachment to one another, just a one-time ting.
Moelogo’s base for Itheep is romantic love but on some tracks he delves into other poignant issues like bad governance on “Boju Boju”, human prone judgemental behaviour on “Who Talk”, fake love on “You Sef”, doing this with a striking balance, creating a nice topical segue over melodic thrilling produced songs.
