Marcus Rashford hit with another fine by Manchester United Boss.

Marcus Rashford

Prior to Thursday’s trip to Wolves, Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has been speaking to the media. Of course, the first question was going to be about Marcus Rashford, given the claims that he was spotted on Thursday night in Northern Ireland’s nightclubs, before skipping Friday’s training because of sickness.

“He has taken responsibility and for the rest it is an internal matter. Case closed.

“It is nothing to do with that (respect). As I say, let’s focus on the game. I think the statement is clear and we have to focus on winning football games.

“In football you need discipline on the pitch but also off the pitch – there is a line between. Every professional knows what is required. We have to focus on winning football games, that’s all that matters. Every top professional knows what is required.

“The last two Premier League games, two goals and an assist – he is developing a strong bond with Rasmus Hojlund and we want to continue that process.”

Ten Hag has only stated over the weekend that Rashford’s missed training session was an “internal matter,” indicating that he is hesitant to talk about it.

However, the player’s “unacceptable” behavior was already publicly criticized by the Dutchman after the player had a fun night out after the team’s loss to rivals City earlier in the season.

With only four goals this season at Old Trafford compared to his 30-goal total last year, which won him a lucrative new deal, Marcus Rashford has had a miserable campaign so far.
