Kung Fu Panda 4: DreamWorks Debuts New Action Packed Trailer

After months of anticipation, DreamWorks has finally released the first trailer for Kung Fu Panda 4. 

The trailer begins with Master Shifu informing Po that it is time for him to transition into the post of spiritual leader and select a new dragon warrior. We also get a first look at the film’s antagonist, The Chameleon, a powerful sorceress with shape-shifting abilities. It also introduces Po’s new ally, Zhen, who wants to help him bring down the Chameleon and keep the Valley of Peace safe.

Kung Fu Panda 4 features returning stars Jack Black as Po, Dustin Hoffman as Shifu, James Hong as Mr. Ping, Bryan Cranston as Po’s birth father, Li, and Ian McShane as Tai Lung, Shifu’s former student and arch-nemesis. DreamWorks also announced new members of the cast, including Viola Davis, who will be voicing The Chameleon; Ke Huy Quan will voice Han; and Awkwafina will voice Zhen. 

The Kung Fu Panda series, which is now a 1.8 billion-dollar franchise, first debuted in 2008. It follows a clumsy panda named Po (Jack Black), who overcomes various obstacles and becomes a kung fu legend. The franchise is arguably one of DreamWorks most beloved projects globally.

Kung Fu Panda 4 will debut in theaters globally on Mar. 8, 2024.
