According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Jesse Lingard is set to undergo a one-month training program with Al Ettifaq, led by Steven Gerrard. Romano shared on social media: “Jesse Lingard has joined Al Ettifaq for a one-month training stint—as he is currently a free agent. Whether Lingard and Ettifaq decide to pursue further collaboration will depend on both parties, and Steven Gerrard’s input will also be crucial.”
This summer, several notable players, including Jordan Henderson, Demarai Gray, and Gini Wijnaldum, joined forces with Steven Gerrard at Al Ettifaq. Back in June, Lingard expressed his openness to a potential move to Saudi Arabia, stating to Sky Sports: “I’m considering all options. I’ve never ruled out any team or club, so for me, it’s about selecting the right team that aligns with my goals.”
