African superstar singer, David Adeleke, simply called Davido professionally will set a milestone among his peers on December 18, 2022, when he becomes the first African artist to perform on the biggest stage of the world’s sports in the ongoing World Cup being held in Doha, Qatar.
Hayya Hayya, a song in which Davido appeared alongside Trinidad Cardona and Aisha is the Qatar 2022 World Cup official song; it was released on April 1, 2022, and this should have served as a big hint to fans of Davido worldwide because it is the custom of the FIFA World Cup organisers to invite the official song artiste(s) to perform at the closing ceremony of the event but with the recent unfortunate incidence that befell Davido and his family, one would not think towards him traveling as far as Qatar to perform.
Although the pain of losing a child can not be erased, Davido and his fiance seem to just be healing fine as they were spotted in Davido’s uncle’s swearing-in event as the governor of Osun state some weeks ago, but Davido performing in Qatar will be his first major event since the early November occurrence.
The FIFA 2022 World Cup final game will be played in the 88,966 capacity Lusail Iconic Stadium, Qatar next 2 weeks Sunday evening. It is scheduled to go on-air by 4 PM WAT and seeing Davido on the turf of Doha will be such a good sight for fans of the beloved singer and lovers of football worldwide.
The news of Davido performing in Qatar was divulged and confirmed by business mogul, Stephen Hung, via his official Instagram account.
