Reviews for Marvel Studios latest production, The Marvel’s, are out, and it’s a mixed bag. Some critics describe it as a success, and others categorize it as a disappointment. The film, which is directed by Nia Dacosta, is a sequel to the 2019 Captain Marvel and continues the storyline of two Disney+ shows, namely Wandavision and Ms. Marvel. However, despite building upon the plotlines of three Marvel projects and featuring three major characters. Critics seemingly had a lukewarm reaction to the film.
The Marvels initially debuted with a rotten score of 54% on Rotten Tomatoes after 60 reviews. But it’s score has risen to 61% after the addition of a couple more reviews. These additional reviews helped make The Marvel’s fresh rather than rotten on the site. Which is undoubtedly a welcome development for Marvel studios. Whose only critical success this year has been Guardian of the Galaxy Three.

The Marvels synopsis reads: “Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary. Her powers become entangled with those of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel. And Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as The Marvels.”
The Marvels is now available in theaters worldwide and it stars Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, and Iman Vellani. Alongside Zawe Ashton, Samuel L. Jackson and Park Seo-joon
