Coronavirus: Liverpool, Lazio, others among the biggest losers if virus persist

The round leather game of football is now the latest victim of epidemic Coronavirus. Players have been tested positive, games being suspended. There are even calls for a premature end to the season in some of the leagues. Now, we take a look at the players, teams and Leagues that will lose the most, should this happen.

Liverpool
Wouldn’t it be a disaster if Liverpool with their impressive form this season end up winning nothing?
The Reds have been fantastic this season, broken all manner of records. At a point, they look on course to end the season unbeaten and as it stands now, it is only three victories away from being the Premier League champion.

Lazio
They have been consistent this season. They currently sit comfortably in 2nd, just one point behind leaders Juventus , and if there’s ever a good time to win the Serie A, that time is now. Simone Inzaghi side might end up winning the league if the SerieA season isn’t suspended. It won’t be fair to them if the season get suspended and other teams like Inter, Napoli gets to chance to strengthen their team next season.

Bayern Munich
After a dismal start to the season, Bayern turned their season around and now they are the German Bundesliga leaders with 4 points ahead of second place Borussia Dortmund. With 13 wins or less before they can be crowned champions, Bayern might end up not winning this season if the league is suspended because of the outbreak of Coronavirus.

The English Premier League
The most watched Sport League in the world with about TV audience of 4.7 billion people and about £8.4 Billion revenue in TV rights in a regular season, there will be drop in TV views if the Premier League season is suspended or abridge bringing a drop to the revenue shared my the League, Premier League clubs on TV rights and views.
