Castlevania Nocturne is set to debut soon on Netflix!
Castlevania is a popular and critically acclaimed original anime production from Netflix. The show based on the iconic video game franchise became a fan favorite shortly after its initial release. It was, therefore, unsurprising when the streamer announced plans for a spinoff titled Nocturne. Netflix announced Castlevania: Nocturne At Geeked Week in 2022. During the unveiling, Netflix only showed fans a brief trailer. But almost a year later, Netflix has finally provided us with some new details about the show. These include the synopsis, a new poster, its release date, and a new trailer.
The poster depicts Richter Belmont’s behind, with the Belmont family insignia visible. It also shows Richter carrying a whip as snow falls around him. The tagline follows: “I pray for you, Richter Belmont.” Furthermore, the poster reveals that Netflix will release Castlevania: Nocturne on September 28th.
The official synopsis states, A New series focusing on Richter Belmont origin story feat. Vampires in the French Revolution. The gory and gothic adventures of the Castlevania franchise continue with an exciting new setting and their highest stakes yet. A gripping story of love and loss, Nocturne marks an evolution to the original fan-favorite Castlevania Netflix Series. It features a never before seen origin story of Richter Belmont (a gaming icon and one of the Franchise’s most beloved characters).
As for the trailer it is jam-packed with the high-octane anime-inspired action that has made the Franchise a global success. It provides us with our first glimpse of Richter in action. It teases his terrible childhood and the events that shaped him into a master vampire hunter. However, the focus is not solely on Richter, as we see glimpses of his allies and adversaries.Nocturne will follow Trevor Belmont’s grandson, Richter Belmont, as he battles the forces of evil during the French Revolution. However, casual fans will meet Richter Belmont for the first time when the show airs. He is one of the most beloved characters within the Franchise. The spinoff is drawing inspiration from two Konami games. Castlevania: Rondo of Blood and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
