This Thanksgiving, the Willis family shared emotional moments as they supported Bruce Willis, who is battling frontotemporal dementia.
Bruce’s daughter, Scout, posted a touching video on Instagram, revealing a heartwarming scene of her and her father holding hands. Another photo showed Scout cradling Bruce’s palm against her face.
Bruce’s wife, Emma, also posted photos, expressing gratitude for the love within the extended family, including their daughters, Bruce’s ex-wife Demi Moore, and his other children.
“Bruce has good days and bad days, but in the last two months, there have been many more bad days than good,” a source told US Weekly.
“This experience has brought the whole family even closer together. No one knows how much time Bruce has left, so they’re soaking up every moment they get with him.”
Willis was diagnosed of aphasia, a language disorder, in March 2022, and later, in February 2023, the family disclosed that his condition had grown to frontotemporal dementia (FTD).
FTD is an untreatable brain disorder that affects spoken words and mobile skills, with a life span of six to eight years, though some sources suggest it could be as low as two years. Since the diagnosis, his family has been providing continuous support to the famous actor.
“Once Bruce was diagnosed, everyone came together to keep his memory of the family intact and to be there as a constant reminder [that they] love him. [Everything] revolves around him. Bruce has around-the-clock care, but at least one family member is always with him.” The source added.
