Blaqbonez boasts of his infidelities “Back In Uni” over JAE5-produced beat

Blaqbonez goes back to his university lecture theatre for the “Back In Uni” photoshoot

All the hearts I broke in Lekki, only God fit to protect me / All the lies I told them girlies, goddam I’m way to reckless / My girlfriend way back in uni, some things she’ll never know / Oh, oh lord I did her dirty, some things she’ll never know”, Blaqbonez opens his new song, Back In Uni with prolific beat maker JAE5. “Big bank take lil bank, it’s the law of the jungle / Your girlie want money when I call, you know she gon come through / Yeah, you know all these hoes ain’t loyal, shit”, he recounts the major factor leading to his incessant infidelities.

Blaqbonez has never been a preacher of love, rather he lives on the mantra that sticking to one partner can never be enough for a person, pseudo-advising men to take the charge in seeking multiple sexual partners for themselves. After all “None of my bros ain’t loyal”, Blaqbonez inserts, insinuating the concord in belief he and his male friends share. “So, who be the soul mate for you? / So what’s popping now? / Me never let them get in my medulla”, the rapper-singer reminds prospective future partners of his standpoint when it comes to being faithful in a relationship.

Back In Uni reflects Blaqbonez’s spirit of self-awareness. He admits “All my enemies, they are hoes”, but this will not stop him from being the proud unremorseful infidel he has become. “I know you dey carry me for my mind but it is no use / You see me on the tele’ and it’s stressing on your mental (Mental) / Omo no dey vex, forget am / The street’s bad for your mental health / Shey you no dey see am for internet? / Look at the things I do / Oh Jah can’t save my soul”, he urges future companions not to be worried by his raving exploits.

As usual, JAE5 delivers nothing but excellence in production, creating an unhurried mid-tempo instrumental which allows Blaqbonez’s vocals to take the main stage. Back In Uni happens to be the first single from the artiste’s third album, “Young Preacher”, to be released on October 28.
